Arriving at – almost – the northernmost point of our travels, Elim Beach. Those of you who love fishing or just plain old goofing around in 4WDs, we would highly recommend the caravan park Eddies Elim Beach Caravan Park. Nice folks, decent amenities and jaw dropping views of the bay. I wouldn’t say this beach is good for swimming but it sure does look pretty.
The water is shallow and low tide reveals muddy banks. Heaps of mudskippers to chase but expect to be covered in mud up to your knees. Kids thought is was a scream though. LOL
There is also a local salty (saltwater crocodile for non-Australians here) that can be spotted frequently so enter the water at your own risk.
Despite the great adventures, the highlights of the days were the evening drinks with the other travellers, watching the sunset. What great people, what great moments. Best parts of traveling in my humble view.
We left the caravan at Eddie’s and drove on the beach to our destination – Kite Surfari. Now, this is a kite surfing spot of legends. We’ll cover that in our next post. Stay tuned!!!
