WEEK 14 – EASY GOING IN WESCLOUD LODGE

Today is the … I-forgot-to-count which day since the lockdown. I bet there’s many of you who feel the same way. Days have started blending together and we are stuck in a rut. The despised kind of rut.

Don’t get me wrong, not all days are exactly the same shade of boring. Kids were taking the isolation somewhat well until now. They missed their friends, of course, but that was to be expected. Nowadays they seem to be in each other’s hair more often than not. We’re trying to survive the cat-fights with abundance of patience and a mandatory glass of wine (or three) in the afternoon. For now, it helps. 😉

My broken leg is on the mend and since I took off my brace last week and I am slowly, and painfully, regaining my mobility and strength. It hasn’t been easy but I’m getting there. Sorry about the pun.

I was spoiled for Mothers Day. The girls gave me a notebook planner – I have a thing for those – and a coffee plunger. I love my bulletproof coffee after lunch and my last plunger broke a week ago. The girls smothered me with hugs and kisses and allowed me to binge watch something on Netflix. I was in heaven!👩‍👧‍👧♥️

We are happy to report another development. We sold our motorbike. It was a bit of a heartbreak for me as I loved that bike, however it was a sensible sale. In our view a motorbike cannot stay in a garage for such a long period of time. We also appreciated the beneficial boost to our finances. We hope she will serve him as well as it did us. Godspeed.🏍

The wind is dropping off, typical for this time of year. We need to head north, towards the trade winds. Fingers crossed it happens soon. 🤞
