Townsville Aquarium

This was a few weeks back, sorry for not posting sooner. Had a lot of wind to chase. 😉 Whilst in Townsville, we heard that the Aquarium is reopening their doors. How opportune! 😁 There are two major aquariums in North Queensland, Townsville and Cairns, and although we haven’t been to Cairns’ before the rumour has it they are neck to neck when it comes to exhibits. We had other plans for Cairns so we opted for visiting this one. They boast with the biggest reef in Australia and we wanted to put their words to the test. Booking is required, as most venues nowadays are, but that in turn dispersed the crowd and we could enjoy the place in peace. Well, as much as we could since our girls were absolutely overwhelmed with colourfulness and vibrancy of the exhibits. We love aquariums and we loved this one too! We are drawn to water – it would seem ha ha – and everything connected to it. There is something magical about coral reef and colourful fish, schooling and darting about. I find it as alluring as relaxing. After our rounds, Seb and I grabbed coffees and sat down in front of the glass to soak up the view of the reef. We thoroughly enjoyed the place and had a fantastic day. Would recommend a visit for sure. 👍👍👍
